On June 26th 8 BCBS members took part in the 2010 Metro National Athletics Championship in London and brought home a total of 15 medals.
BCBS's application to the Big Lottery is succesful! Over the next 3 three years BCBS will be receiving £94,233 from the Lottery's Reaching Communities grant scheme. More news to follow.

The BCBS Get Active Sports club is awarded £4,580 by the Primary Club and £2,000 from Give a Child a Chance through the Berkshire Community Foundation.
The Earley Charity awards BCBS £2,000 towards its IT4All project.
McKay Securities continues its support of the BCBS Children's Department with a £2,000 donation.
BCBS hosts a cricket masterclass at the Bracknell Sports Centre. Members of the England blind Cricket team coached our budding youth cricket team in anticipation of the BCBS Cricket fundraising day on 6th June at Bradfield College.

BCBS launches its "Get Active" Sports Club for children and young people, with the support of British Blind Sport.
Peter Mutch and Matthew Beasley ran for BCBS in the London Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon.
Greenham Common Sponsored walk raises over £1,000 for BCBS.
Emma Haworth, whose daughter Gracie is one of our young members, took part in this year's London Marathon and has so far raised over £1,650. Thank you Emma!
BCBS was awarded a Partnership Development Fund grant of £6624 over 2 years by the Berkshire West NHS Trust to support the development its activities programme. BCBS also secured a grant of £1,050 from Sport Relief to encourage visually impaired people to take part in a sport or physical activity of their choice.
Another recent donation was £1,300 from the Berkshire Community Foundation to develop a Road Show. BCBS will be taking it around the county to help raise public awareness of both sight loss and the work of BCBS.
Our Walk with a difference around Virginia Water Lake was a resounding success, raising almost £8,000 thanks to the generosity of our intrepid team of supporters including Bakehouse and Bank of Ireland Mortgages.
Staff at Computer Associates, led by Darren Butcher took part in the Windsor Half Marathon to raise over £1,000 while, over in High Wycombe, Joanna Engle raised over £300 by running in her local Half Marathon.
In August the members of the Twyford Youth Club organised a Fun Day to raise funds for BCBS. Sadly, the weather put many people off from attending but they were still able to present BCBS with a cheque for £170.
